Press release: “Kulinarisk Sydfyn” (Culinary Southern Fyn): Foods Market, June 23th and 24th

Ready, set, enjoy!

For the 10th year in a row the association “Kulinarisk Sydfyn” or “Culinary Southern Fyn” is hosting the biggest market and display of foods in the North. Since its very beginning in 2002 it has grown into a true bombardment of the senses. This year with more than 120 exhibitors from Denmark, Sweden, Italy and Germany presenting exquisite produces and delicacies like oil, honey, wine, beer, juice, cider, spirits, cheese, fish, meat and poultry plus pastry, chocolate, sweets and other delicate treats.

A true wonderland of culinary specialties, a place where taste is put first – and on a stroll through the streets, alleys and tents of the town of Svendborg you will be treated with tastes of a whole world of foods. Just like being on a picnic without dragging a basket!

If you desire even more adventures of taste you can join a sushi-course, pay a visit to the festival of cheese, experience chefs in a slowfood version, enjoy a great lunch á la Fyn, let the children make their own sea salt or kick back in the dark movie theatre to take in the vast amounts of impressions and tastes with a series of selected films set in the culinary and sensuous world.

As the crowning touch “Kulinarisk Sydfyn” can celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. And even though the market has expanded covering a bigger area, involving more exhibitors and visitors it is still an intimate and personal market centered around “the good taste”.

- We don’t compromise. The exhibitors are the most outstanding and therefore both guests and professionals are met with products with a very high level of quality and good taste, says the project manager and chef, Mikael Hansen.

And so the foods market of “Kulinarisk Sydfyn” is a feast for all of the senses – and this year the market has moved into the heart of the town of Svendborg to create the very best setting for the whole lot.
